I'm an economist and an active investor and currently live in Australia. I'm a global investor though I focus on Australian and U.S. investments. This blog tracks our net worth and investment performance and discusses personal finance, investing, and trading from an economic perspective. In the picture, Moomin is looking for treasure.

I have a question for you. After 2 years of travelling I am coming back to Australia and I want to start investing my money wisely. I am completely new to the topic of investments and I was wondering if you could recommend a book I could read that would be a good starting point. There is lots of books on the market but I'm not sure how to choose. I'll appreciate you help. M
That's a great question. I haven't really been in the market for such books any time recently and so not sure what is available about investing in Australia. I did buy one book a couple of years ago about superannuation. The rules on super have changed recently more than once and ti is important to understand the super vs. non-super investment decision. I'll post a blogpost on this and ask for recommendations.
