In February 2024, I got out of Ruffer Investment Company. It was never meant to be an exciting investment, but even by that standard it was disappointing. We held for about 3 years with an IRR of -3.9% and a loss of £4,523. It was one of the investments I dropped in response to our disappointing 2023 performance.
What has it done since then?
It has gained a bit, but vastly underperformed the FTSE Index. It has gained 5.4% p.a. over the last three years and 3.7% over the last year. So, this was a good decision.
