Did two trades. Both lost. I think I was overenthusiastic to put the trades on despite not very strong signals. Luckily I used stops properly. So I was disciplined at that end of the trade. Back to simulation mode.
Short term trading is not easy even if you are at it full time.
My own attempts to do day trades on the Hang Seng index since late November have resulted in one profitable trade and a series of orders that were never executed because the market moved through my very tight limits. As I have only a limited amount of time, I have taken the approach of only making small trades when I get a very strong signal and then putting in tight limits. So far that has protected me from any losses but left me with only one completed trade.
